Lil’ Snippers Hair Care 4 Kids is a family owned and operated business with two locations in Vancouver, Washington. We are committed to providing quality haircare services in a fun and exciting environment. Our stylists are patient, caring, enthusiastic and love working with children!
We do everything we can to ensure that your child has a fun and positive experience. You’ll find plenty of toys to play with before and after the haircut as well as a selection of the most popular children's movies to watch during their haircut.

We offer services to children of all ages, even babies in need of a haircut! Every service includes your child’s choice of movie, choice of available fun styling chair, simple styling after the completion of the cut, fairy dust sparkles, wash out color spray, sticker and a lollipop.

We carry a complete line of Babo products, including shampoo, conditioner, detangler, lice defense products, styling products and organic options. Babo carefully crafts each product, using only the highest quality ingredients, such as botanical extracts, natural elements, and exciting fragrances. How do I prepare my child for his/her haircut?
Talk about the haircut with your child. Let them know that it is a fun event and something they will enjoy. If possible, come and visit the salon a few days before their appointment so they can explore the environment and watch other children getting their haircut. On the day of the appointment, come in a few minutes early to allow your child to play with the toys at the salon. This allows your child to become familiar with his/her surroundings before their haircut begins.
My child's long hair tangles easily, what can I do?
We have had great success with the Knot Genie! Begin using the Knot Genie towards the ends of the hair. Slowly work your way up towards the root of the hair. We advise using Babo detangling sprays or leave in conditioners for added tangle relief. Detangler can be used on wet or dry hair.
Is there anything I can do to help my child’s dry hair?
If your child has dry hair, we recommend using a moisturizing shampoo. We carry several different types in our salon that we can suggest based on your child's specific hair type. We also recommend using a leave-in conditioner/detangler to moisturize dry hair.
My child loves to swim, what type of hair products should we use?
We advise wetting hair prior to swimming. This will help minimize the absorption of chlorine. We also recommend using Kylie's Pre-Swim Conditioner. Directly after swimming, use a shampoo specifically designed to remove chlorine from hair, such as George's Swimmers' Shampoo. Follow with a conditioner. Regular trims can also help keep hair healthy and minimize the damage done by chlorine.
Help! My child has gum in their hair. What do I do?
Put olive oil on the area with the gum and work it in, use a comb to brush out the gum. Hair may need to be washed more than once to remove the olive oil.

“This is an amazing place to have your children's hair cut! The entire shop is outfitted to suit young kids and keep them entertained from beginning to end.
The kiddos get to sit in a power wheels car to get their haircut. Boys get a police car or a sports car; girls have Barbie Jeeps and a convertible. In front of every car is a small flat-screen for the kids that need to zone out, they can throw on a variety of TV shows or movies for your kiddo to watch. Just for girls, they offer the princess package. This consists of a cut, style, glitter, and finish with a mini-mani that any young girl lives!
